Only got a minute? Rovo with BleuLemon, summed up in 4 points:
-
Your teams lose time finding the information they need inside your environments.
-
Rovo, the Atlassian AI, automates and intelligently centralises your knowledge.
-
Rovo is a plug and play cloud tool that connects beyond the Atlassian tools.
-
BleuLemon helps you get the most out of Rovo and its various modules to increase your productivity.
Faced with working environments saturated with information, hard to organise and slow for teams to navigate, Atlassian created Rovo: an AI assistant that simplifies access to the information stored in your working environments.
Rovo is available in the Cloud plans (Premium and Enterprise) and frees up time for technical, product and business teams.
Its AI is also connected to many third-party tools, notably Microsoft (Sharepoint, Teams, …), Google and plenty of others (ServiceNow, Salesforce, Zendesk).

The main features of Rovo
At BleuLemon, we support our clients in optimising their Atlassian environment. That is why we care about helping you adopt Rovo and its various AI modules.
1. Rovo's extensible intelligent search
Rovo is first and foremost a search engine, able to explore the working environment well beyond the Atlassian tools alone. Thanks to its extensible search, Rovo can query content from Jira, Confluence, but also from third-party sources such as Google Drive, Slack, GitHub, Microsoft Teams and others.
The search engine does more than look for keywords: it understands context, identifies the likely sources and synthesises the results to answer a question asked in natural language.
2. AI agents that automate work so teams can focus on the task itself
One of the most recent additions to Rovo is its autonomous AI agents, which can carry out concrete actions inside the Atlassian tools. For example:
-
Create a Jira ticket from a Slack or Teams message.
-
Summarise a Confluence document into clear bullet points.
-
Automatically assign tasks to team members according to their availability or expertise.
“Rovo is not a simple chatbot. Atlassian's AI is an intelligent copilot that connects knowledge, action and collaboration”
These agents can be trained and customised to match the rules and processes that are your own. Rovo respects the permission scheme set by the instance administrator and complies with certain data privacy standards (GDPR, ISO 27001, …).
However, because Rovo is built on Atlassian Intelligence (which uses OpenAI and other AI models), some queries may be passed on to the providers of those models.
3. A unified organisational memory held by Rovo
Rovo acts as a living memory of the organisation. It centralises, connects and gives back the knowledge scattered across different tools and projects. That makes it possible to:
-
Find past documents or decisions quickly.
-
Avoid duplicates, loss of know-how or content that has gone stale.
This intelligent structuring of content also makes it possible to spot inconsistencies or redundancies in documented processes, which makes the ability to correct those errors dynamically, straight from the Rovo chat, all the more attractive.
4. Contextual understanding and proactive suggestions
Rovo is also able to analyse the activity under way in order to suggest relevant actions. When reading a Jira ticket, it can for example:
-
Offer links to similar tickets.
-
Recommend internal resources related to the problem where they exist (knowledge base or Confluence).
-
Automatically generate resolution documentation in Confluence, particularly where an incident keeps recurring.
This ability to analyse needs and draw connections is in fact the strength of the tool, since Rovo initially concentrated on data analysis. It is only recently, with the announcement of the Atlassian MCP, that Rovo acquired the ability to act.
Atlassian's Rovo, a new paradigm for collaboration at work
With Rovo, Atlassian is looking to add a new collaborative tool inside its product environment, and with it a new way of working where knowledge, action and collaboration are brought together in a single intelligent flow.
By centralising data, automating tasks and helping people take decisions, Rovo establishes itself as a genuine copilot for teams, in a digital environment that remains a challenge to administer and to declutter.
It is worth noting that Rovo is only available on a Cloud solution, the Data Center version not being offered at this stage. For the more curious, BleuLemon offers customised alternatives for organisations that face those specific constraints.
